Calming Your Mind During Fertility Treatments

In this episode, I shared my personal journey through infertility - the emotional and physical toll of failed treatment cycles, miscarriage, anxiety, and the moment I realised I needed to leave my career in interiors. I then trained as a therapist and support others going through similar experiences. I spoke about how deeply connected the mind and body are, and why mind-body techniques can offer emotional resilience, grounding, and support during the often overwhelming fertility journey.
We also explored fertility visualisation and how I use it as a tool for emotional support and nervous system regulation - not as a promise or guarantee of pregnancy. One of the things I feel passionately about is challenging “toxic positivity” in the fertility space. I never want women to feel blamed for failed cycles because of their thoughts or emotions. Instead, I encourage using visualisation to reconnect with peace, safety, hope, and inner strength, whatever path the journey takes.
The episode also included a guided fertility meditation designed to help listeners feel more connected to their bodies and future with compassion rather than fear. I spoke about the importance of learning to nurture and “mother” yourself throughout the process, especially during moments of uncertainty and heartbreak.
Above all, I wanted listeners to know they are not alone. By gently shifting focus away from constant fear and “what if” thinking and back into the present moment, it becomes possible to navigate fertility challenges with more calm, self-compassion, and emotional support.
